Board members, Governors and staff from Airedale Hospital are bringing a special health event to Ilkley later this month.
The Health Event, which is coming to the Clarke Foley Centre, Ilkley, on Wednesday 28 June will give Wharfedale residents the opportunity to hear about what Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is doing in the area, and the latest developments at Airedale Hospital.
Members of the public will be able to attend a Board meeting from 10:30am to 12:30pm where they will see how decisions are made by the Board.
From 1.30pm to 3.30pm there will be a Health Fair with a number of stands, including health checks and information on a number of services offered by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust including dementia care, rheumatology and osteoporosis, physiotherapy, the Gold Line palliative care service, and the collaborative care team.
There will also be demonstrations of the hospital’s telemedicine service. Directors, Governors and members of the patient experience team will be on hand to listen to local residents’ feedback and to discuss the issues that matter to them.
There will also be stands from other local organisations including Community Action Ilkley and the Stroke Club.
Bryan Thompson, the Governor for Ilkley at the Trust, said; “We are looking forward to meeting local people and hearing what matters to them. We’re keen to share recent developments at the Trust and also to understand if we can do more to support people from the Wharfedale area. There is no need to book, you can just turn up on the day, and stay for as long as you wish.”
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
