Elderly man in hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car

An 81 year old man is in hospital after he was hit by a car in an accident in Notton.

At around 12.30pm on Sunday, 6 January, a bronze-coloured Volvo XC70 was at the junction of Ingswell Drive and George Lane, Notton, when it was in collision with two pedestrians, one of whom was in a wheelchair.

The 81-year-old man who was in the wheelchair fell from his seat onto the road. He was taken to hospital where he is being treated for serious, life-threatening injuries.

The other pedestrian, a 71-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.
