Police appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Halifax

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Halifax on Friday (04/01).

The collision happened at around 11.08pm on Long Lane, when a silver Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a bus shelter and a wall close to the junction with City Lane.

The vehicle had been driving from Mixenden in the direction of Halifax.

The driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle driving in the area prior to the collision to get in contact.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 2035 of 04/01.
